Who is this class for?
Students who
have a starting SAT
or PSAT score (from within the past 3 months) in the 90th
percentile or higher (1350+).
Those who plan to take the August & other Fall SATs.
Students who
have never taken a PSAT or SAT, or those who have scored in the range of 900-1340.
Those who plan to take the August & other Fall SATs.
Students who have a starting
ACT score (from within the past 3 months) in the 90th percentile or higher (28+). Those who plan to take the September & other Fall SATs.

As a college counselor, test-prep guru, and educational cheerleader, I don't just dole out sagely wisdom and send students home to study; I talk them through the task, whatever it is.

Hello! After 10+ years of teaching at various test preparation companies, I'm grateful to have found my home at Thinque. I teach students what they need to be truly familiar with the SAT and ACT, without the extra unhelpful fluff that other companies provide. I also teach math; I love to see the 'lightbulb' moment when that concept that's been bugging students for weeks finally 'clicks.' I don't really like long walks on the beach, but invite me to Panda Express and I'll be there!

I’m passionate about helping students gain confidence in their academic journey, whether they’re converting fractions or writing a college admissions essay! I tutor students of all ages, and my specialty is the Humanities. I am a huge Star Wars fan and a general Sci-Fi geek. When I’m not at ThinquePrep, I can be found catching up on Netflix or reading a good book with my two cats.

CLASS POLICIES

Students are expected to complete an average of 3-4 hours of homework assignments per week in addition to the scheduled classes.

Students are expected to be active participants in class (i.e. camera & mic on for Zoom and answering questions in-person).

Individual make-up lessons will not be allowed. If students wish to meet to catch up on missed material, they can attend our SAT/ACT drop-in hours (included with tuition) - these will be hosted by Thinque Prep’s owner and founder Joey.

Discounts will be available for families who can demonstrate financial need. Payment plans are also available.
